Racing - Gravel
Racing bikes are born for racing and athletic competitions, but they are becoming more and more successful among amateurs and enthusiasts.
This kind of bike is designed with extremely light materials to offer high speed to the cyclist and it presents a very aerodynamic structure. Usually, the components are a very important part of choosing the racing bike. From the technical point of view, they equip very high gear ratios, primarily aluminium or carbon frames and wheels that can be low, medium or high profile. Low profile wheels are particularly light and elastic and allow to absorb vibrations, but are not so strong. The High profile rims, instead, have the strength and the aerodynamics as their main feature, but have a higher weight and less elasticity compared to the previous ones. Medium profile wheels are the ideal combination of strength, rigidity, comfort and aerodynamics.
